राजकीय माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में सहायक अध्यापक (एलटी) भर्ती का विज्ञापन समकक्ष अहंता विवाद में लटका हुआ है। शिक्षा निदेशालय से मिला अधियाचन इसी विवाद के चलते उत्तर प्रदेश लोक सेवा आयोग लौटा चुका है और प्रतियोगी छह वर्ष से एलटी विज्ञापन आने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं। अशासकीय सहायता प्राप्त (एडेड) माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में प्रशिक्षित स्नातक शिक्षक (टीजीटी) एवं प्रवक्ता संवर्ग (पीजीटी) भर्ती की परीक्षा का उत्तर प्रदेश शिक्षा सेवा चयन आयोग में अभी कुछ स्पष्ट नहीं है। भर्ती नहीं आने से कई प्रतियोगियों की आयु निर्धारित सीमा के पार हो गई है। उत्तर प्रदेश टीजीटी एवं पीजीटी जीव विज्ञान संघर्ष मोर्चा के अध्यक्ष जितेंद्र यादव ने बताया कि समकक्ष अर्हता विवाद को जानबूझकर लंबे समय से अटकाए रखा गया है। इसके कारण राजकीय माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में शिक्षकों की भर्ती नहीं हो पा रही है। 

लोक सेवा आयोग से जवाब मिलता है कि समकक्ष अर्हता विवाद निस्तारित होने के बाद ही भर्ती विज्ञापन जारी किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा एडेड माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में शिक्षक भर्ती के लिए उत्तर प्रदेश शिक्षा सेवा चयन आयोग का गठन तो कर दिया गया, लेकिन टीजीटी एवं पीजीटी के 4163 पदों के लिए आवेदन लिए जाने के बावजूद परीक्षा कराने के लिए तैयारी अभी नहीं है। चयन आयोग में अभी परीक्षा नियंत्रक के साथ-साथ उप सचिवों सहित कुछ और अधिकारियों की तैनाती नहीं होने से परीक्षा को लेकर निर्णय नहीं हो पा रहा है। मोर्चा अध्यक्ष ने बताया कि शिक्षक भर्ती आने की प्रतीक्षा में प्रतियोगी अधिक आयु के हो रहे हैं। ऐसे में बाधाएं दूर करते हए आयु में तीन वर्ष की छूट देकर भर्ती विज्ञापन जारी करने की मांग की गई है।

The advertisement for recruitment of Assistant Teacher (LT) in Government Secondary Schools is stuck in the dispute of equivalent qualification. Due to this dispute, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has returned the requisition received from the Directorate of Education and the candidates have been waiting for the LT advertisement for six years. There is no clarity in the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission about the recruitment examination of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Lecturer Cadre (PGT) in non-government aided (aided) secondary schools. Due to non-recruitment, the age of many candidates has crossed the prescribed limit. Jitendra Yadav, President of Uttar Pradesh TGT and PGT Biology Struggle Front, said that the equivalent qualification dispute has been deliberately kept pending for a long time. Due to this, teachers are not being recruited in government secondary schools.

The reply from the Public Service Commission is that the recruitment advertisement will be issued only after the equivalent qualification dispute is resolved. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission was formed for teacher recruitment in aided secondary schools, but despite applications being received for 4163 posts of TGT and PGT, there is no preparation to conduct the examination yet. Due to the non-deployment of some other officers including Deputy Secretaries along with the Controller of Examinations in the Selection Commission, a decision regarding the examination is not being taken. The Morcha President said that the contestants are becoming older while waiting for the teacher recruitment. In such a situation, there is a demand to remove the obstacles and issue a recruitment advertisement by giving a relaxation of three years in age.
